thank you Cuba for having spine

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4105673.stm

Cuba has put up photos of abused Iraqi prisoners in front of the US interests section in Havana after the US displayed Christmas decorations there.

The Cuban display includes images of Iraqis at the Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad, and the word "fascists".

Cuba complained earlier this week to the US mission about its decorations which included a reference to 75 Cuban dissidents jailed last year.

The US says the decorations will remain in place until the end of the holidays.

our media can hide Abu Ghraib but the rest of the world won't.

1. They're not even able to hide it here. People know, they just agree with
it. By that I don't mean everyone, just a hell of a big chunk of the clowns in this country. But that's the crux of the matter, isn't it? They're HERE in this country, not over there fighting for the war that they are so very vocal in supporting.

3. I can remember when Jimmy Carter wanted to improve relations
with Cuba way back in '78. The repukelicans were all over him - how dare he, etc: Jesse Helms remarked that "Castro couldn't last much longer." I think Fidel would be eager to pee on Jesse's grave if he ever gets to North Caliney.

7. Why doesn't Cuba tell the USA that they no longer have a lease on Gitmo?
Or atleast under Int'l Law in the International Courts (or even under Cuban law), challenge the US's actions on GITMO and its illegal activities....somewhere there, I'm willing to bet, they could shut the activities there down and expose them!

10. If there was ever a time to break an agreement....it's now...
I'm sure EVERYONE in the international community would understand, agree and support that decision...

8. I was just suggesting that yesterday
If people were going to put up unauthorized/illegal nativity displays on public property - one thing to do would be to add an anti-war message to it.

It doesn't seem like people could complain. If you're going to allow some groups to express whatever they want wherever they want - it makes it open season as far as I'm concerned.
