1. We need to prevent the right wing from playing the media |
|
Right wing domination of the media is a problem to winning elections. Bush Co knows how to manipulate the media and we have been ineffective at combating it.

4. They don't play it ... |
|
they own it!
I keep trying to note that I don't think it is failure on our part. The media is in bed with the Right-wing because they have a controlling interest in it and have been setting this information network up for a long time. In restrospect, it was invitable, but hindsight is 20/20 usually.
If the race is fixed then your horse may not win no matter how much you wish it would.
Lambasting and criticizing the media is a good place to put your thoughts, energy, and communication. If we reject it in favor of alternatives, and encourage others to, we are apt to make some progress.
No point in fretting about what Democrats did wrong at this stage, though we can improve the situation there. That is secondary to the core problem, IMHO. It is also pessimistic and divisive.
Let's quit staring into the headlights ;)

3. Democrats have been locked out of committee meetings |
|
in Congress. There is no compromise with ideologues and zealots.
It's high time the DLC Democrats realize this appalling fact and act accordingly. Moving the party to the right hasn't worked and won't work.

5. You can't compromise with |
|
what is in my opinion, fascism. We should fight and not be afraid to speak our minds, like Howard Dean does. We should also choose candidates according to what We want and disregard everything else. I see this weak attitude sometimes, like we can't have that person, we might offend someone! To hell with that, fight, fight, Fight!

8. The "great uniter" has already had |
|
4 stolen years to reach out and hasn't done shit. He's not interested in compromise. He's more interested in using that "mandate" and all that "political capital" to advance his causes. The a-holes who voted for him are either blind or too stupid to realize that he doesn't give a fuck about them either.
I'm all for blocking everything they try to do unless it agrees with our agenda.
