Rudy Giuliani: poster boy for "Hubris Gone Wild"

Hey, Rudy, what are those spots around your mouth? Oh, that's right, you must have just spoken!

<http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6733362/site/newsweek />

In a lengthy and candid interview with NEWSWEEK, Giuliani seemed to acknowledge that the whole episode has made him anxious about his business, which has thrived on his spotless reputation. Giuliani said repeatedly that Kerik's role in the firm is very limited, representing "less than 5 percent" of its business. He also said that Kerik's position was largely limited to their joint venture, Giuliani-Kerik. "He's not part of Giuliani Partners," the former mayor said. But at the firm's Web site, Kerik is described as a "Senior Vice President at Giuliani Partners."

3. Newsweek goes Alice in Wonderland on its readers ...

The interview is described as "candid," yet Giuliani, as the magazine itself points out less than a paragraph later, lied from the get-go by claiming that Kerik was not an integral part of Giuliani Partners.

--

"Nothing builds confidence in a leader more than a willingness to take responsibility for what happens during his watch." -- Rudolph W. Giuliani, as quoted in the "accountability" link at www.giulianipartners.com.

4. He's running for Hillary's Senate seat in 2006.

That will be the right wing media whores' next big symbolic race. They plan on basing the whole of their 06 election strategy on the theme of 9/11 verses the Clintons. The Republican Party will never give him their nomination to run for The Presidency, just as The Democratic Party will never give Hillary that nomination either.

5. This is a good example to show how MSNBC rewrites history/lies.

Describing ex Mayor Guliani as having a

"spotless reputation"?

Notice how MSNBC tries to re-write history and create a lie.

Does anyone remember Mr. Guliani's "spotless reputation" before September 11, 2001?

6. betting pool on when Rudy dumps him ...

I say about 5:30 p.m. on Xmas Eve ... except for the bowl game reports, there are only about 37 people in America who would read the paper on December 25, especially when it falls on a Saturday.

7. Giuliani backpeddaling at the speed of light
An onslaught of media stories, filled with allegations of shady business practices, ties to organized crime and multiple sexual affairs, also shredded Kerik's reputation. Even so, he still has a place to go to work: Giuliani Partners, where the guy with his name on the door now finds himself in the increasingly difficult position of explaining how someone he's vouched for, and who's caused such a firestorm, can possibly give advice to others on how to avoid one. Giuliani is now like any other businessman concerned about his brand.

Some crime fighter you hired there Rudy.
