Are you seeing what I'm seeing? The hard-core conservatives have taken over the Republican party, and it appears that the other Republicans have formed an alliance with them. On the progressive side, WE ARE SPLIT!! Libertarian-leaning, small-government conservatives can form an alliance with the radical religious right, yet hard-core liberals and liberal populists can't form an alliance? What is wrong with this picture?

If we want to defeat the right-wing, we are going to have to band together with people we don't always agree with. If all hard-core liberals leave the Democratic Party, then only moderates and conservatives will be left! If more hard-core liberals joined the Democrats, the Party would reflect that, just like the Republicans have been influenced by the religious right.

since they are blazing a black hole of debt in the national deficit at our expense for their priorities....
