Arafat's death provides an opportunity that might lead to peace accords. It's revolting that Bush should try to claim credit for it after everything he has done to resist all efforts toward that end, but I'd still welcome peace in the Middle East, even if it provides an opportunity for W to crow. The issue is crucial to our national security, not to mention the lives of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.

Maybe indeed Bushco can come up with a plan where corporatists profits escalate and the peasants in Palestine can at least have peace.
