5. The hydro-encephelatic baby jesus story remains a hallmark of OUR xmas |
|
traditions... harkening back to xmas 2002, when we xmased in Playa del carmen Mexico.
We were there for several days before xmas, and our explorations of the local cultures had turned up some really beautiful displays, including one very elaborate nativity scene. Not being christian, we were somewhat baffled over the lack of baby jesus in the scene as well. So we checked it out several times to see if the little dude had shown up yet.
BTW, the scene was staged atop some ancient mayan artifacts in between a great restaurant (BEST grilled fish in PDC) and a cantina.
So on xmas morning there were seperate expeditions for caffiene oriented substances, and we both arrived back at the room announcing with great laughter that the baby jesus had indeed arrived in the nativity, but that he was more than 3 times the size of the rest of the characters in the scene, and he was henceforth and forever after known as the hydro-encephelatic baby jesus, still referred to in tales of lore and adventure in OUR house, along with the mother who insisted on rinsing her daughter's pasta.

4. Ooohhh. But there shouldn't be any wise men either since they showed |

up after the fact right?
Sometimes its hard to keep everybody's symbolism and allegory straight. I think the govt should start a task force to consolidate and unify all of these disparate tenets.
