There would not be a current crisis in either malpractice insurance,
or the big pharma boondoggle, as far as I can tell.

Further, the results from states that have enacted tort limits are the same as the states that don't, premiums are rising. So if this is a crisis, what kind of crisis is it? I submit it's primarily a crisis in HMO/Insurance profitablity with the baby boom age shift and downsizing of younger worker's benefits. And their answer is to screw us harder.

When people yell 'free market' at me, I mention how well private enterprise is serving the cause of health in America.
