This is five years old but I find it utterly beyond belief...
This is from www.deathpenaltyinfo.org
I was looking over this anti-death penalty site when I found this item about a Fla. state senator, Ginny Waite-Brown, who sees the hand of God in a horribly botched execution....
I find this stupefying....just incredible. Does anyone have any other info on this Princess of Darkness?

July 8, 1999. Florida. Allen Lee Davis. "Before he was pronounced dead ... the blood from his mouth had poured onto the collar of his white shirt, and the blood on his chest had spread to about the size of a dinner plate, even oozing through the buckle holes on the leather chest strap holding him to the chair."45 His execution was the first in Florida's new electric chair, built especially so it could accommodate a man Davis's size (approximately 350 pounds). Later, when another Florida death row inmate challenged the constitutionality of the electric chair, Florida Supreme Court Justice Leander Shaw commented that "the color photos of Davis depict a man who -- for all appearances -- was brutally tortured to death by the citizens of Florida."46 Justice Shaw also described the botched executions of Jesse Tafero and Pedro Medina (q.v.), calling the three executions "barbaric spectacles" and "acts more befitting a violent murderer than a civilized state."47 Justice Shaw included pictures of Davis's dead body in his opinion.48 The execution was witnessed by a Florida State Senator, Ginny Brown-Waite, who at first was "shocked" to see the blood, until she realized that the blood was forming the shape of a cross and that it was a message from God saying he supported the execution.49

4. I hate her too
I send her messages all of the time. Without a return address. Mostly on Medicare. She thinks what Bush is doing is soooooo wonderful. I also believe she was the one who sent her reelection flyers in 2002 saying how great to return to the Hoover way of economy, we all know what happened after that. A real Repug Wacko.

3. Did he suffer as much as his victims? I hope so.
On May 11, 1982, Davis--an ex-convict--entered the Jacksonville, Fla., home of the John Weiler family. Weiler, an executive with the Westinghouse Corp., was on a business trip in Pittsburgh.

In the Weiler home, Allen Lee Davis attacked Nancy Weiler, 37, who at the time was three months pregnant with the family's third child. Davis bludgeoned Mrs. Weiler--who was the corresponding secretary of the PTA at her children's school--so severely that she was barely recognizable when police found her body. Davis brutalized Mrs. Weiler with such force that the trigger guard on the gun with which he was beating her broke, as did the wooden grips and metal frame of its handle.

Davis tied up the Weiler's 10-year-old daughter, Kristy--a 5th-grade student who hoped to become a nuclear engineer someday--and shot her in the face, killing her.

The Weilers' other child -- 5-year-old Kathy -- tried to run from Davis. He shot her in the back, and then beat her, crushing her skull.

5. Cases like this
are the reason I'm torn on the death penalty. I despise the idea of anyone being put to death for a crime they didn't commit. But this story is horrible and whoever did it deserves to die.

8. And what if he did suffer?
What would that accomplish? Would it bring anyone back? Would it deter others? Not likely.

Vengeance is pointless. It accomplishes nothing, and the desire for vengeance is one of the more unattractive aspects of humanity.

9. whatEVER he did...
....no human being deserves such treatment; as the judge commented, it represents behavior more fitting of a murderer than a civilized state. And it is appalling for a public official to take delight in such barbarism.

13. Only a human being deserves such treatment , because only a
human could brutalize others like he did.

unborn child the mother was pregnant with.

7. Ginny also proposed exhuming U.S. soldiers interred in France and Belgium
'coz they didn't support our invasion of Iraq.
She is a ghoul through and through.
