We need our own bumperstickers and ribbons to say something about those...
..."patriotic" "Support the Troops" and "God Bless America" ribbons.

Putting a magnetic ribbon on your car doesn't make you a patriot, nor does it make you a supporter of the troops. I've noticed that the bushbots are the ones who tend to use these ribbons. They're everywhere in my county and some people turn them on their sides so you can read the message easier (like you haven't seen the same thing on five thousand other cars). It also looks like a Christian fishy.

This is really bothering me for some reason. I sense a great hypocrisy. They'll put a sticker on their cars, but when it comes to paying for armor, calling cards, etc., they won't bother to do that. Sigh. God Bless America? More like God FORGIVE America. Shame on us!

Anybody have some ideas?

1. I like the FW ones _
I wish they came in ribbon magnets for the car.

2. on second thought

3. I've been saying exactly what you just posted for the longest time
and I've seen two alternatives...both on a car that also had yellow support our troops ribbons. The first said support our troops on one side of the ribbon and bring them home across the other part. The other alternative was a support peace sticker that was a ribbon in a circle with a third bar that made the whole thing look like a peace sign.

8. There is a Hummer in our neighborhood
With it's cute little ribbon leering from the ass-expanse of sheetmetal. I can imagine the thought process ....

Let's see, about 3 gallons to the mile, that's a lot of fuel. Better slap that magnet on the back to balance things out.

9. I have this one:

But I was thinking of something specific, too. I want something that explicitly SAYS that putting a magnetic ribbon on your car doesn't mean you are a patriot / support the troops. It's pissing me off.

10. I've had the blue one
"bring home our troops" on my car for about two weeks now. Here in the middle of jebusland, too, the grandly ignorant state of OK. Have not received any negative responses--no middle finger salutes, no honking, no glaring.....

I like it because it's distinct from the yellow ones...

11. They're in for an unpleasant surprise
when they remove those stupid magnetized ribbons, I heard on the local 'news' that they mess up the finish on the car. :wow: I know I wouldn't put that crap on my car. :puke:
