Re: the ratification of the electoral vote count

We just need ONE. here is the text of my letter to MY Senators.

"On January 6, 2005, the House and Senate will once again meet to consider the electoral vote count. And once again, that vote count is likely to be challenged by a group of progressive House members, who will make the case that the mis allocation of voting machines (especially in Ohio), the abuse of provisional balloting in numerous states, and the refusal and/or inability to conduct the recount in an open and auditable manner in Ohio, in Florida, and in so many other key states, mean that the certified electors should not be seated.

In Michael Moore's movie we were subjected to the spectacle of representative, after representative coming to the podium, begging, BEGGING for just one Senator to make an open and honest recount possible. The silence that reverberated around those once hallowed halls was deafening.

As my Senator, I trust you won't let that happen again."

...to a point. And then you mentioned Moore. As much as you and I may like Moore, I think 99% of people in government read his name and turn you off like a lightbulb. In thier minds, anyone who uses Moore to back up their claims is part of the lunatic fringe. :(
