So, who else thinks Rummy outranks Bush in the Shadow Govt? |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-21-04 01:45 PM by Tamyrlin79
It would certainly explain why Bush won't fire him... Rumsfeld is definitely part of "The Cabal", he's been a part of it a lot longer than Bush, Jr. (though maybe not Bush Sr.) and the cabal definitely wants one of their own controlling the Defense Dept. and all its shadowy programs. Thus, firing Rummy would threaten their control of this essential agency. So, no firing of Rummy will happen, unless a suitable replacement can be found, which is not so easy to do.

10. Bush has the name and the money connections. |
|
He could (almost) get elected the first time because Repubs all knew his name. Plus he had the connections. That's the only reason he was nominated.
Certainly not for his pretty face.

11. He's an original PNAC signatory; has reported links to |
|
some of Latin America's more notorious thugs and narco-criminals; "fixed" Florida; and was on board the aircraft carrying federal agents which swooped down on Mohammed Atta's flight school in the middle of the night after the attack and removed the records to Washington before local authorities could seize them. 14. I'm only 60 pages into the 9/11 report but so far it is very telling |
|
W was not at all involved in anything on 9/11 other than getting his address to the nation ready.
The Commission very carefully illustrated that no one had any proof that W gave the "shoot down" order it was Cheney. No one (even Libby's notes) has anything suggesting that W was involved. During that part of the report it states that when discussing it W interjected that it "reminded him of his days as a ineterceptor pilot"..........you can almost hear the crickets chirping in that room....and then they get back to the subject.
___
I can imagine a scene where all hell HAS broken loose and they are trying to figure out who should be in charge. As everyone in the room is saying what experience they have in the background W is clearing his throat and saying "Hey guys?!?!? Guys!!!" No one is paying him any attention.

9. Cheney and Rummy have been |
|
working with each other in various capacities since the Nixon administration. Definitely a team. There's a good chapter in the book Rise of the Vulcans about how they periodically did "continuity of government" exercises during the Reagan Administration. It sent a chill up my spine, thinking how handy that training came in during the 9/11 crisis.

and ranks quite low in the PNAC scheme. Cheney, Rummy and other PNACers are the wizards behind the curtain (no offense to wizards intended).

13. Absolutely, but the directions are coming from the Trilateral Comish, |
|
Federalist Society, banking, the Queen, Sauda Arabia, and Israel - the way it looks to me. Cheney, Rumsfeld, and anyone up front - like Bush - and a lot of the think tankers are a lot lower down on the heirarchy.
