2. Nope, still no Christ in Christmas
Somebody went and stole the baby Jesus from the Nativity creche, so Christ will never again be in Christmas, hereafter referred to as StolenababyJesusmas.

5. Soldier, Pat Buchanan and his Tribunal of the Millenium Inquisition
will let you know when that has happened. Until then, tune in for your daily flagellation by the Grand Inquisitor and his flunkies.

6. I brought up, as a hypothetical to my Mom, the situation somebody posted
recently about customers demanding that the cashier say "Merry Christmas," rather than Happy Holidays... She started off on how people are trying to take Christ out of Christmas. Sometimes I forget I'm the only liberal in my immediate family. I said what if the cashier was Jewish? She shrugged. I said did she really expect somebody who did not believe in Christmas to say Merry Christmas? She really didn't get it.

I love my mom, but I cannot discuss politics or religion with her. Even if I know where she stands, it still shocks me sometimes. She knows exactly what I think about it, though.

7. I dont get what's wrong with Happy Holidays?
I see where they are coming from on Xmas (I use it anyway) but what's wrong with Happy Holidays? It includes Christmas but recognizes there are other holidays out there.

12. They dont want to recognize other holidays
That's the point. By accepting other points of view and other people it somehow oppresses them. That's total BS but it's their angle. They want to go back to the good old days when there was only Merry Christmas and they could just pretend that non-christians don't exist. They are doing the same thing with the attempts to scrub literature and films of gay references or any gay writer from being read. They want everyone not exactly like them to disappear. That could be the GOP party's slogan.

Why argue over semantics?

This is one of the pseudo issues I don't care about because there's way more important things happening right now because of that reptilian chimp.

Or is it another useful distraction manufactured our Pravda?
