BUSH RECORD LOOKS PRETTY GOOD SO FAR
Edited on Wed Dec-22-04 01:32 PM by MaryH
And this is just what I read today so far:

1. His war on workers has gone practically unnoticed. That is always a good thing when you are trying to dismantle worker rights.

2. The GOP has managed to surrepticiously pack the courts with anti-abortion judges. (Gotta get those activist judges out of there. Does anyone know what an activit judge is? Is it just a judge that disagrees with your policies?)

3. Iraq is going well - only a few more weeks until the big election. Of course, there may not be any Sunnis left to vote by then - but who cares about the Sunnis. They are just a bunch of trouble makers. (I'm hoping the Communist Party wins - wouldn't that be great?)

4. Are having a little trouble convincing people that SS is really a critical problem. So they are going to start a new media blitz telling everyone its a critical problem and needs to be fixed tomorrow or the entire population of the elderly will just have to die in the cold.

5. Taxes seem to be on the back burner for now.

6. And to hell with the environment. We don't need it anyway. The Armaggeddon thing will happen before all the trees are used up. And trees are just big polluters so its a good thing to cut them all down.

2. Mary, why do you hate Amerika?
Can't you see he is acting in the best interest of his constituents?

We have learned over the past 4 years that clean air and water are detrimental to economic growth. Can't you get with the program?

3. 'activist judge' is code speak
stands for "I don't know anything about law, am too lazy to educate myself, and would never thinking about reading one of those long
legal documents, so I'll hide behind these two words and hope know one notices my ignorance"

4. And nobody is talking about corporate crime anymore
Enron has been completely forgotten and all the other white collar criminals are still sitting in their CEO chairs.

5. Activist Judge
It is actually a legitimate political term that means a judge that votes for amendmendments that change the way our country works for the better of it. It is the opposite of a strict constructionist who interprets the constitution exactly as it is written.
