Our Troopers got OS'd.....even in Combat cyber games such as Planetside |
|
the forces are taught not to congregate in large numbers in case an ORBITAL STRIKE occurs.
Beirut taught us with Marines getting off'd by a bomb
DS 1 caught a whole bunch of our people in a dorm, they got off'd by a scud
All too many examples of congregating leading to big targets are in our history.
Who the Hell was in charge?? Damn. such a waste of our precious troops.

1. They said they were building a bunker for the mess |
|
but what good would a bunker do against a suicide bomber other than concentrate the blast. At least in the tent the bomb had room to dissipate.

Lunch is not a congregation.
The correct answer is to set up a perimeter against threats when you must gather. 1) The perimeter guard was insufficient, 2) the facility itself was insufficient.
It depends on how the attack was made, and the surrounding environment. If it was in a city, I could see how it would be possible for someone to get within range and fire a rocket.
But now people are saying it was a (suicide) bomb(er). That raises a whole host of other questions.
