Poll question: How bad will the Inaguration protests get?
Edited on Wed Dec-22-04 07:37 PM by kuozzman
On Jan. 20, tens of thousands of people will flock to Washington D.C. to voice their opposition to the re-election of *. It seems like Bush&Co. are just asking for trouble by having this extravagant inaguration parade for such a dumbass that will cost tens of millions of dollars while we are at war and while we're seeing the largest deficits in the history of the U.S. As if that isn't enough to really piss a lot of people off, many people, myself included, think * stole the election and shouldn't even be being inagurated. So after everything * has done in his first 4 years; invaded two countries, which has resulted in tens of thousands of dead civilians, consistently lied his ass off, made the rich richer, made the not rich less rich, drastically increased the amount of propaganda we see and dozens of other things I won't get into, I think it's safe to say that tensions will be high on Jan 20. How do you think the day will go?

1. Bush is hiding behind the troops. Again.
I hear he's going to have them march in front... so y'know... anyone who dislikes Bush is "anti-troops".

6. The bullets and tear gas will fly even if it is a peaceful protest.
That's what you get for dissent. Bush does Gods will and you should not question him.

8. people will be arrested if they don't look sufficiently JOYFUL
it won't require actual dissent. these twits are so worried about an attack that they will be beyond trigger happy. pre-emptive arrest and detention (a la NYC for the RNC) will be the order of the day.

7. I ain't votin' in dis poll cuz I ain't goin'
DC is about a 45 minute drive for me. But I'm not going. That place will be very unsafe for anyone who wishes to protest outside the free speech zones.

It will be wall to wall snipers, police, dogs, riot gear, SWAT, Army, HRT, you name it, if it has a large weapon and a badge it will be there. No leaves will be granted and all senses of humor will be surgically removed before they deploy.

I hope my 30 mile distance from DC is far enough that I won't feel the concussion from the grenades.

And in your first picture, what city is it that has a corner of Wellington and Rideau? Toronto? Montreal? Ottawa?

9. what he said, that's the way they plan it, plenty of grenades,
Shrub hiding in his egg pelted limo, but this time, many broken heads in the crowd. Remember, this is Shrub Unleashed, he doesn't have to worry about faking any future elections.
