Was Bush wired during the press conference?
Go to 16.47 on the video, watch as he drops his head and mumbles something into his tie, and decide for yourself. Similar allegations were circulating around the debates. Remember that bulge?

1. If he was wired...
Don't you think he would have done better?

3. It explains why he says he won't negotiate with himself
He thinks Carle Rove is a person that lives inside his head.

9. It's pretty obvious he's talking to SOMEONE: "wait a second"
Edited on Wed Dec-22-04 11:35 PM by IanDB1
When he looked down, he OBVIOUSLY muttered something hurriedly to SOMEONE.

What it sounds like to me, "wait a second."

The more I listen, the more sure I am that's what he said: "Wait a second."

Through high school and college, I used to log and transcribe a lot of videotape. That is what I would have interpreted that as, "wait a second."

Or maybe "wait a minute."

6. My guess is he's been wired since early in his term.
Ironic that a former (alleged) cokehead is now professionally wired...

8. Sorry, but I dont think it lasted long enough to reflect anything

He could have been clearing his throat after a long, uninterrupted spiel.

I think people are starting to ascribe the extreme to the innocuous.

That doesnt by any means mean he wasnt wired at the debates where pauses were more significant and the responses disjointed.
