Had an idea for a new "catch phrase" in the car... |
|
on the way home the other day.
"If you are not Progressive you will be left behind."
I figured it was a double hit on the Regressive Freepers and Waco Fundies while concisely stating our case.
Whadaya think?

2. Good sentiment, needs to be shorter... |
|
in the spirit of "Compassionate Conservative" "Contract with America" etc. to be memorable to Joe Public and can be used in a number of different contexts.
IMHO, we need to supplant the term "Liberal" with "Progressive" everywhere. The word Liberal has become radioactive and has been hijacked by the wingnutz. Instead of taking it back we should redefine it.
Beat the wingnutz at their own game:
Don't address the problem; simply restate it in your own terms.

6. I'm confused by the term "progressive" |
|
I have the impression that it reflects a more centrist or right-leaning philosophy. Plus it connotes all this nineteenth-century industrialistic robber-baron B.S. about progress. So, if you say, "Progressives don't get left behind," it doesn't sound like a good thing to me.
