Why in the hell would you take the guy who fucked up Iraq and
want him to solve our economic/social problems like overhauling Social Security, rewriting the tax laws/code, overhauling Medicare, examining our educational system, etc.?? Isn't it sort of like searching the police registry of convicted child molesters in order to find a babysitter for your children this evening????

This nation has the corner on the "ignorance" market. And I now believe that Jesus did pick Georgie in this election because it is how he intends to take the Christian right, kick it's people right out of middle class status, throw them into the ranks of poverty and punish them for their filthy, uncaring, inhuman hypocracy.......this nation deserves it.

1. Somehow I don't think Jesus
would damn a nation for the actions of 30# of its citizenry. God claimed he would not destroy Sodom if only 10 good people can be found. I think we've hit that number, certainly.

/not a Christian, but I play one...

2. The same reason they promote everybody that fucks up.
Dick Meyers didn't do a damn thing on 9-11, but he got promoted to Chair of Joint Chiefs.

Condi Rice was a joke as National Security. Utterly failed us, but got promoted.

It's a pattern with George his whole life. He fails up.

3. I think we should mail a photo of "Iraq in flames" to everyone about
age 50 and above with a note attached that says: "do you want the guy responsible for this to fix your Social Security and Medicare"???? It might even make the church ladies head for the toilet to toss their cookies. Soon these fools who were so "frightened" of the "bad terrorists" in this last election are going to know what real fright is. They may want to take a bus trip through "povertyville" in "anywhere USA" because that is where they are going to 'slip' to once Bush gets done with them.

4. There was a management theory back in the late 70's
called "The Peter Principle" (also a book by the same name), whose premise is that people tend to be promoted to their highest level of incompetence. This dealt with corporate life, but I see a clear crossover into public life. In the case of this administration, I think that most of these thugs have been promoted waaaaay above this.

5. What guy?
Certainly this SS plan is not Bushes. The guy has never had an original thought in his life. He doesn't understand a word of his plan. I love when he "explains" issues to the people. Like most of the new Bush mandate the SS reform is a retread of an old bad idea congress has ignored many times before. What always amazes me is how bad old ideas can be pushed by neocons as brilliant new strategies.
