State Senator Edith Prague of Connecticut: I JUST LOVE HER!!!
My buddy Doug just interviewed State Senator Edith Prague (of Connecticut's 19th Congressional District) on his college radio show to talk about the state's last governor, John Rowland, copping a guilty plea today. For years, Senator Prague had vocally excoriated Rowland, and she was no different on the radio just now! Among the things she said about the former governor:

"Rowland's despicable behavior has gotten Connecticut into a mess it'll be paying for for at least the next 10 years."

"I hope he gets exactly what he deserves."

"He cares about just one thing: John Rowland."

"The most corrupt governor Connecticut has ever had."

"A rotten human being."

"He has a colossal arrogance."

Needless to say, Edith Prague is a Democrat--a real Democrat, I mean. :kick:

3. In all fairness, that wasn't John Rowland.
It was Phillip Giordano, the one-time Republican mayor of Waterbury, Connecticut, hometown of--surprise, surprise!--John Rowland.

Giordano is now occupying a prison cell. With any luck, ol' Johnny's going to join him real soon!

4. You have the wrong asshole from Waterbury Connecticut. Rowland was
a corrupt Republican Governor from Waterbury that got gifts from contractors for state work. He also lost $225 million to Enron in a shady deal that saw $50,000 go to the RNC. You are thinking of Phil Giordano, a corrupt Republican Mayor from Waterbury who while stealing from the town treasury had time to abuse 2 girls aged 6 and 8. Two REPUBLICAN ASSHOLES. Lets be like the Pukes and start name calling. From now on, every Republican is a crook or a pedophile. They earned it. Is there a Republican wing in Federal prison?

2. "He has a colossal arrogance." Rowland was a frat-boy buddy of W's.
Rowland just thought he was just like W the boy wonder, however while there is no one to investigate Bush's shady behavior, there were plenty of US Attorneys to get Rowland. These days the Justice Department investigates reporters, not corrupt elected officials.
