Essay- "I'm a Republican because:"
Check out this essay written by Mr. Jim of CommonGroundCommonSense. Too funny!:
------------------------

I'm a Republican because:

1. I am conservative. I believe in conserving our Constitution, our natural resources, and our way of life, which are all being destroyed by Bush.

2. I am fiscally conservative. I believe that the Federal Government should only spend as much as it takes in.

3. I am pro life. Therefore I am opposed to the senseless waste of life in Iraq, the death penalty (in most cases) and the flooding of our streets with assault rifles, cheap handguns, and other insane weapons. And I am for some form of health care and coverage for everyone, to avoid the 32,000 deaths a year attributible to lack of health insurance.

4. I believe firmly in common sense. If it costs $10,000 for a Head Start program for a poor child, but it costs $35,000 a year to keep an adult in jail, better spend the money on Head Start to keep the kids out of jail.

5. I believe in capitalism, and Bush's unblinking support for huge corporations is destroying capitalism and replacing it with monopolism. Bush's destruction of the middle class is stripping our own country of the market needed for companies to sell products. Bush's blatantly ignoring the off-shoring that is going on is destroying both jobs and small businesses alike.

That is why I'm a Republicat. Er, Demolican. Er... whatever party that Clinton, Gore and Kerry belong to. The party that supports all of the above views the best. You know... that conservative party, not that radical bunch that run Washington right now.

1. I've said it before
and I'll say it again: there's nothing conservative about the Bush administration.

Nothing.

been a thorn in their side ever since.Every person i know vouches for my beliefs, liberal and though i hate the term (progressive) agenda.I voted(Jarvis Taylor)a communist in '79 because i couldn't vote demo(Hugh Carey).I hate our two party system, and feel this is a way to abolish it.The job i speak of was actually funded by jimmy carter,my first vote .I'm fortunate to work for people that have no political beliefs and therefore, judge me on my work(laborer)and it did take 20 years to get where most get in 10,no sweat.I would rather be hated by demo's than be accepted by repukes.
