a little whiff of OUR White House for xmas (PHOTOS)....no visitors allowed
Edited on Sun Dec-26-04 02:12 AM by diamond14
except wealthy reTHUGlican donors...but these glorious tasteful photos were posted on the White House web site for our gawking from a distance....

doesn't laura do a gracious and dignified job of decorating OUR White House? it's really a wal-mart special, don't you think? trashed the place up real tex-ass style....

the nativity scene (really, this is it)...reminds me of something out of bush* wars...

amazing what all that XANAX and hard liquor has done to OUR once beautiful and dignified White House...it's about as gawwwwdy as it gets....globs of stuff in there everywhere....lots of that sprayed white gooper stuff....

1. Sorry to the troops in Iraq; you don't get armor this year, because we
needed to buy eighteen fucking Christmas trees.

4. No, not eighteen, there are 42 christmas trees INSIDE the White House
this season...and a whole bunch more OUTSIDE the White House...

and the bushites have already hosted 20 huge parties inside OUR White House ONLY FOR RETHUGLICAN CAMPAIGN DONORS.....that's how the bushites send the message to OUR troops that they care....they really care....

6. Are you serious? Damn. Are they all that hideous?
Makes me so mad that they would even do something like that when people are dying all over the world, in Bush's war and everywhere else, but they're just going to celebrate an extravagant Christmas. I want to see Bush go over to Iraq and hand deliver to all of the men and women the armor and weapons they need, then come back here and work to feed the homeless without expecting anything in return.

But you know the thought would never even cross his mind.

9.  Boy, you really have a sense of humor!
"I want to see Bush go over to Iraq and hand deliver to all of the men and women the armor and weapons they need, then come back here and work to feed the homeless without expecting anything in return."

You're very imaginative. Consider a career in fiction.

24. To the GOP here are our terms
Lower your flags and march straight back to Texas, stopping at every home in America to bet forgiveness for four years of theft, rape and murder.

But first your Commander in Chief must cross the Whitehouse lawn, present himslef before the media, put his head between his legs and kiss his own arse.

2. I think Hieronymous Bosch designed the nativity scene,
though I admit to needing reading glasses.

The last picture looks as though the tree (hardly visible beneath the myriad decorations) is sitting on a huge red doughnut.

Waste of money in a time of need.

12. That was my first thought too, tells us something
about the "good or evil" question. "I think Hieronymous Bosch designed the nativity scene,"

composition at least reminded me of this side of "Garden of Earthly Delights" it's the "Hell" side...

seriously downgraded the social life in the capitol since arriving in 2000. Laura just doesn't have the social graces or class to pull off the first lady thing. To high on Xanax too much of the time, I would guess. Whoever was responsible for those decorations (and I assume Laura at least had some say) sure could use some taste education. Gaudy much?

they've killed enough trees for Xmas.

This looks like the studio/Internation Broadcasting Center for TBN.
If you haven't seen it, it's Graceland to the nth degree. Couldn't find another thing to gild.

Wow. Ick. Ptooey.

Is s/he wearing a face mask? Hard to tell, but looks like a "bandit" from a wild west movie. Scarf folded in half diagonally, and tied around the face.

13. part of nixon's demise was a HUGE royalty-type party for his daughter's
wedding at the White House, during the height of the killing in Vietnam...the Nation was SHOCKED at the arrogance of it....everyone thought nixon should have kept the wedding a LOT more modest due to the carnage going on in Vietnam....also, there were concerns about who was footing the bill for the wedding....nixon or US taxpayers? and whether personal weddings should even be held at OUR White House at all....

if enough taxpayers made a fuss about this arrogance, it might help downgrade bush*....it's so insulting to our troops in time of war...

perhaps DUers could start a barrage of emails to Congress about this arrogance in time of war????? all of it is helpful in making the RED states realize that bush* really could care less about OUR troops...that bush* really doesn't care at all....send these photos to the troops in Iraq too...let them know how bush* is celebrating while they are dying...

And, that poor Christmas tree at the end. I could understand Laura was going for the "winter wonderland" look in the top photos - but that one at the end... the bounding at the top of it? What was that? The Abu-Ghraib look?

27. It looks to me that they plopped a tree on top of another tree
The bottom tree is wide and well-shaped and then it looks like it wasn't tall enough for them, so they went to Walmart and plopped another tree on the top, which now gives the whole thing a weird shape. Does anyone else see that?

(I'm not gonna even comment on the 'decorations') :eyes:

18. Not only is that tacky
I have NEVER in my life seen a Nativity scene that includes an apparent war scene at the bottom. Why would you place The wise men amongst a chaotic looking scene below the nativity scene? That is the wise men isn't it? If there is some passage from the Bible on this that I have missed, please enlighten me.

22. yeah, war-mongering bastard...
...heard recently on AAR (sorry, don't remember who) that when * talks about war/killing/agression, he speaks clearly and coherently, because he likes talking about this stuff--KILLING is what gets his juices going.

only gets mumbly when he has to speak of social policy, the disastrous economy, and defend/lie about the 'pukes' schemes to dismantle the New Deal, because he wants to wreck it all.

Merry X-Mas, 'pukes! enjoy that holiday spirit!

28. What a gawdy waste of funds.
Troops in Iraq go without adequate armor; the war itself is costing us billions; Social Security is supposedly in trouble; the Medicare mess is something that Bush put us into; those damned tax cuts are supposed to become permanent . . .

And then they spend how much on the White House decorations and the inauguration?!?!

Or,they make indoor color balanced film. I don't know...maybe they were shooting for that "warm and fuzzy" look.I fixed this one is about 60 seconds in PSP6. It needed about 32% more blue and about 14% less red.

My guess is their playing up the warm look to pump up our Fuhrer.

32. It all just reminds me of the little bandit's first inauguration,

with the much-hyped dress code for male Texans including cowboy boots with their tuxes. Someone asked what the women would be wearing and a friend of mine said quietly, "There's not a sequin left in Texas."

To me, that says it all about so much of what these people do: "There's not a sequin left in Texas."
