2. I'm demanding that bush* come back from VACATION and using
OUR tax money and OUR military and OUR food...get out there and DO SOMETHING....we have ALREADY paid for all this, so the effort NOW should be to get OUR Government MOVING....and get bush* back to the WH to show that this is a TOP PRIORITY of OUR Government....make bush* send OUR Army Corps of Engineers over there in full force...

hey, you can put all the nickles and dimes in...but this will take BIG STUFF....from BIG countries, OUR GOVERNMENT....

so put your best efforts into pressuring OUR congressional reps and bush*....call newspapers and ask why bush* is on vacation and not working on this nightmare...demand to KNOW what bush* is doing on this EVERY DAY....

6. I would like to see...
I'm not being snarky here, either. I would love to see Bush scale back his inauguration festivities (the ones for which some supporters are donating $250,000 a head for) and instead use the money to help out. Opulent ceremony doesn't seem quite right in the wake of the tragedy. It would truly be an example of compassionate conservatism.

14. BOTH the coronation and the decadent WH display of 42 xmas trees

is really too much in these solemn days of WAR and the very recent suicide bomb of the mess hall, and the flattening of Falluja, now 70% crushed...with more than 1300 of OUR troops dead and over 10,000 of OUR troops permanently injured, more than 100,000 Iraqis DEAD and now, this tidal wave....

bush* should show some compassion and TONE DOWN his big parties (over 20 so far in OUR White House for his reTHUGlican campaign donors) and bush* should also tone down ALL the parties for the coronation and make it all modest and respectful of the dead and wounded...

bush* seems to be SOOOO happy with his KILLING SPREE world-wide

I doubt bush* will even consider it...he's a monster with NO CONSCIENCE....

4. Red Cross is best.....they say money is better than clothing, etc....
CBC Newsworld has a special on right now with Brian Stewart....He says over 40,000 are dead...CNN is reporting 22,000....That's a big discrepancy....It's hard to imagine anything so horrible...Those poor people....

8. I'm in Bangkok
And my family is visiting for the holidays. We were supposed to be heading down to Phuket on New Year's Day for a lovely beach holiday at Khao Lak. Reports coming out of there is at least 400 dead on that beach alone. It was just by chance that we decided to go to Chiang Mai for Christmas instead of the beach: we couldn't get any accomodation so switched our schedule around, were spared this total nightmare.

All the money we were going to spend on that beach holiday is going to relief efforts. Once things are a little clearer, I'm going to figure out how I can volunteer my time, energy, and money to help people out.
