KKKarl to Be Honored on MLK Day by C.O.R.E.

December 28, 2004 --

KARL Rove must've made some New Year's resolution but what we pitiful mortals need wait and only sloooow wwwly discover. Bush's Brain accepted a special invite to Roy Innis' annual Congress of Racial Equality dinner on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Nailing superhot Super-Karl as Guest of Honor is a coup — so I asked how come? Said CORE exec Niger Innis: "Rove increased the Latino vote, Asian vote and, in battle states, doubled African Americans from 8 percent to 16 percent. He's coming because his mission is to fully integrate our people in every aspect."

Detractors will readily agree I am not overly bright and don't know what I'm talking about — but seems to me smart Rove already won what he needs and got his man elected and doesn't have to kowtow, cootchy-coo or make nice with anyone anymore. So? Why's he honoree? Might be, could be Super-Karl has some plan down the road, some idea up his sleeve, some bee in his bonnet or some shtick around the bend?

Anyway, it's Jan. 17, the Hilton.

1. With a background in telemarketing..
.. plus coming up with the novel idea of outsourcing cold calling to India, Bush's brain literally rewrote the book on campaigning.

2. Sure...the more that Rove can split the black vote...
the more ineffective that vote will be. That will serve in two ways.

First, it will definitely weaken the Democratic Party (for awhile, at least).

Second: It will weaken Civil Rights Laws and allow for defacto segregation to return.

CORE was usurped by Innis (the father-not the son) and his bunch and even the founder (I think his name was James Fisher, but don't hold me to this) has been on Gil Noble's tv show repudiating the rw stance that CORE has taken over the past 20 years or so. It goes so far against the grain of what the Civil Rights Movement was all about. In fact, I think the two of them once had a very public fist-fight on local television in NYC some years back.

6. Right..so have a lot of others who
know that Innis is in this for the money, attention and what little power the Republicans will give him for seeming to "go against his own."

Just like that asshole Anton Williams on Black Forum. They are more vitrolic than some of the worst southern bigots. It's about the money.

They really don't WANT a lot of blacks in the Repub Party because that would water down their effectiveness and "celebrity". As it stands, they are in a position to tell the Repubs what is "good for "blacks or what "blacks really want." (According to whatever their own opinions may be. And get paid for being the "black face" of the historically (since the 60s) lily-white Republican Party.

I will never forget Reagan's inauguration when not a black face could be found ANYWHERE.

8. African-Americans respect Niger Innis about as much as they respect...

John Rocker.
Innis, like his father before him, is a longtime conman. He should be ashamed to even speak the name of Dr King.
