Sad, but our invasion of Iraq has left the US unable to exert good will
at the levels we should be capable of. We could have changed the hearts and minds of a billion people using our resources to help these nations recover from this catastrophe. We can send neither the manpower or the medical or financial help that would make us the shining star in the hearts of these people. We are bogged down in a nation where we are doing tsumani damage to families and infrastructure and getting our own children killed. With the Iraqi invasion, Bush has planted the seeds of our own demise, spiritually, physicall, militarily, morally, and financially. It's just so sad.

1. The 20-20 vision of hindsight
Those who have foreknowledge are the
flower of Tao,
And the beginning of human folly.
Accordingly, the accomplished person holds to
what is thick,
And does not reside in what is thin;
Holds to the fruit and does not reside in the
flower.
Therefore, prefers the one and avoids the other.

The flower prefigures the fruit, as the worldling does the Sage. But no fruit is forthcoming if, dazzled by the flower's beauty, we pluck it from the branch and interrupt (wei) the natural cycle.

2. There is no good will in the current White House.
I don't think they care.

I don't think they intend to give more than 15 million.

Added 20 million today and possibly more at the end of the week.
Learn from Kerry, jumping to premature conclusions isn't the best way to make a case.
