I had a long talk with filmaker who wrote the script for "Bush's Brain"

I was at a friend's book publishing party in West Los Angeles, and Michael Paradies Shoob was there. He told me that he tried to get his film released on a much wider scale, but he told me he was thwarted by the lack of interest in the film by the Democratic leadership. He called the Kerry camp, but he couldn't get anywhere, because they seemed disinterested. Then he called Max Cleland's office (Michael is happens to be from Georgia) but they didn't seem interested in it either. Michael told me that it amazed him, and said to me, "can you imagine if I made a movie attacking a Democratic operative, and offered it to Karl Rove; do you think he'd turn it down?".

Michael told me that he felt that the attitude in the Democratic leadership was the Kerry was going to win, so there was no problem.

This supports my believe that the Democratic Party is a fish rotting at the head, and that we all need to work together to change it at the grassroots. We have to find some way of starving out the DNC, or it will be like polishing brass on a sinking ship or putting perfume on the fish.
