i know nothing of the man, other than apparently he played football.

i've just learned that he's a homophobic fundie freak.


But when i first heard about his death, and the way they reported the details, I wondered if he had had full blown AIDS.


Maybe i'm guilty of reading too many E. Lynn Harris books.

however considering his homophobic ramblings it does make me wonder if perhaps he was a closet-case.


Also Sarcoidosis is an auto-immune disease, altho very rare in HIV+ patients.

More interestingly, Sarcoidosis is treated with similar drugs to those used to treat AIDS.


therefore, it would make for a convenient coverup story.

i smell a rat.

it would certainly be ironic, but that was my gut interpretation when i first caught the story of his death in the news. doing some research on the causes they're giving now, and adding in his previous comments, merely solidifies the belief that that's what really went down.

i thought he had possibly died of AIDS-related pnuemonia.

but (and this is actually something i do know about) that's usually a straight up heart attack, liver failure, or cancer. depending on the type of gear he was taking and for how long.


the way they reported it, kinda piqued my curiosity, because what i kept hearing was "a respiratory ailment......and other related illnesses." which just struck me as "code" that i haven't actually heard since the late 80s-early 90s.

i guess we will just have to wait and see.

The thing most people forget about AIDS is the fact that you never die from AIDS. You die from complications due to one of the many diseases that AIDS leads to since you have lowered immunity and the drugs to combat that problem lead to other difficulties.

however, that's more of a sudden death, usually strokes and heart attacks....they said respiratory illness.
