Delegate saying the states isn't giving enough. Has fox no shame? They use this terrible story to attempt to divide the world even more to line their own pockets with money earned off right wing hatred.

A new low.

2. We aren't giving enough
The reasons for Fox airing the story the way they probably did were not for concern of us not giving enough, I am sure. They did it to make their viewership mad at the UN. It is very sad, considering the astronomical loss of life that this should be a topic.

There was someone being interviewed on CNN saying that the US only gives .2 or .02 (can't remember which, sorry 'bout that) of our yearly GNP to overseas aid for cases like this. I am left to wonder how much money has been wasted by companies like Halliburton and their "cost plus" billing, where they think it is ok to just leave a truck in the desert for a flat tire. In other countries, the cost of that truck alone would probably cover 20 people's yearly salary.

There was also a story, I think it was on CNBC, about the insurance stocks going down after the earthquakes. How sad is that, that people are without homes, have dead and missing relatives, and are now concerned with sanitation and disease, and our news channels are talking about insurance stocks going down.

4. If there is a God.. and he/she is just.. I fear for this country.. Come
to think of it - if Bush and his religious right and other supporters really believed in God they would not act the way they are acting.

6. I am no longer a Christian, but
I remember the verse in the Bible that most inspired me as being the single most important verse, Corinthians 13, "abideth faith, hope, and charity, these three, but the greatest of these is charity".

I think some in this country have allowed their screwed up form of nationalism to replace their religion. If you want to have a sense of pride in your country, have pride in yourself, in your wisdom and knowledge. Serve in the armed forces, don't be a drunk loser throwing trash everywhere because you think it is your "God given right as an American". We are a wealthy country, and it is our place to lead, and that should be by example. We don't do it sitting in recliners bitching about the UN bitching about us giving to little.

I am in total agreement with your statement. Pardon me for the sequel to my original rant...LOL.
