DU!Please read and sign letter to Ralph Nader!I could use help with it,too
Edited on Wed Dec-29-04 12:10 AM by Race4Peace
I'm trying to do this without my head exploding... anyhoo,

I'm writing a letter to the electoral speed bump: Ralph Nader. I beleive that he was a real setback. I haven't determined it yet, but I reckon if he didn't run, we would've had more momentum, campaginers, and votes for Kerry.

Nader said it himself that Bush and Kerry were both evil, but that Kerry was the lesser evil! His running was enough of a frictional force that we lost power that could've used to defeat the Conneticut-
Maine-Texas airhead.

I don't have the dirt on my screen right now, but I will find it, save it, and do what I can with it.

after that, I'll see if we can strike up some kind of truce to work together to bring down the house.

but for now I need some other observations that I skipped.

I will do my best to circulate this.

P.S. If this thread sinks, I don't mind any :kick:ing in this or my other threads:

2. if you don't want Nader to run
coopt his issues. If Democrats continue to be the pro-corporate "free trade" party, then I hope Ralph runs.

"If I had known this I would have voted for Ralph Nader"

3. oh, you would've voted for someone using GOP money?
and if what you mean by pro-corporate "free trade" party(please explain) is hpocrite, then what about this for hipocrite: Ralphie calls Bush evil, then takes his money to help keep him in office.

5. Oh please, not another useless Nader bashing thread again!
Please, didn't you people get enough during the last four years? Or is this simply once again the lamest way yet for the Dems to deny that it was their own damn fault that they lost the election?

Face it folks, Nader had even less of an effect on this election than in '00(and he really didn't have much then). All you're doing with this blame Nader game is letting the DNC, DLC, and the Kerry campaign off the hook for running a crappy campaign against the worst sitting president in history, and losing.

Please, please, before you start blaming Nader, look to the problems in your own house, OK.

6. how bout you do your own investigation that he didn't screw us
and read the whole thing! I'm trying to say that his campaign didn't help us. it probably hurt us. not sure, but i'll find out soon.

then after pointing out to him that he may be the cause of the "more evil" president getting a second term and that he could've helped prevent that by droping out so that he'll consider that the next time a situation like that comes up that he'll think about it.

"look before you jump," *!@#

7. So you put up this whole Nader flamefest thread
Purely on the basis of ". . .it probably hurt us. not sure, but i'll find out soon.", and then expect me to go do your fucking legwork and research for you? Give me a fucking break, go do your own damn research! You made the contention that Nader's run cost Kerry the election, prove it, or shut the fuck up. Until then, all you're doing is meaningless yammering, whining about Nader because you're afraid to face up to the reality of true problem, the Democratic party and where it is going! It is called denial friend, and you're showing all the classic symptoms.

A small clue for you friend, Nader got 400,000 votes nationwide. The combined third party vote for this election cycle was less than 1%. Yet funny isn't it that both Nader and Cobb(Green party candidate) were at the forefront in leading recount efforts across the nation, while Kerry was busy licking his wounds and conceding to Bush. Some fucking fighter there, eh, he only came into the scene after the third parties looked to be onto something, and by then it was too late.

Give it up friend, this lame excuse for covering the shortcomings of Kerry is pathetic, and counterproductive at best. You would better spend yours and our time by figuring out how to transplant a spine into the Democratic party.

8. youre turning this into a flamethrowing contest. I only invited people...
...with info I skipped. not an immature, freeloading, criticising ungreatful jerk.

and how many times do I have to tell you that all I'm trying to tell him that he may have contributed to the "more evil" candidate's side.

400,000 is a lot of support. enough to defeat him at one point. before the GOP/doofus convention, I saw a poll saying that if the election was held that day, the result would be 47% Bush, 45% Kerry, and 3% Nader. If Nader wasn't running, where would that 3% go, huh? that's right, 45+3=48. Kerry's 48 to Bush's 47, tell me if I made an error.

400,000 supporters is a lot of momentum, and with that much effort that was put in that campaign, if we got that much more juice, we would have some more influence on moderates, say if 175,000 of the Nader voters are real canvassers and each one of them convinced at least ten voters to vote for Kerry, boom! we've got it!

And I wasn't a Kerry dem at first I was Dean 'till he left. then edwards for a week(he dropped out). Kerry was the last one standing (besides DK). He beat us into submission.

and youre the one turning it into a counterproductive thread by entering it. if you dont like it, then !@#* off!
