Idiot Bush embarrassed US again. Disgusting indifference to tragedy
Bush and Clown Powell embarrassed the US again with indifferent reaction to the tsunami tragedy. Way to go, idiot schmucks.

1. Yes, but I wonder if only half of the country is embarrassed,
and the other half actually agrees with the idiot they voted for?

2. I can't stand * either, but I realize that if he had made......
several statements regarding the tsunami disaster in Asia, I would have been the first person to accuse him of using this tragedy as a photo-op! The man can do no right, as far as I'm concerned. :-)

7. Powell has said that our aid will eventually total in the "billions."
Whether that is true or not remains to be seen...he also may be counting private donations from Americans, but that was not clarified.

4. Good point.
I don't trust ANYTHING this man says. I don't trust ANYTHING this man does. I detest him with all my being. I'm not sure what that says about me, but it's a fact.

6. It WOULD have been a photo-op
but it would still have been the right thing to do, along with drastically cutting spending for the inauguration and transferring the money to disaster relief. I also think that it would be a good thing to have a national day of mourning, with flags at half-mast.

He represents the country, for better or for worse. We've just been getting yet another lesson in which of those two it is.
