On CNN just now he said "We're seeing the birth of a real Democracy in Iraq." (I may be off with a word or two, but he did call it a "real Democracy".

Joe, you haven't been able to see that we're no longer living in a real Democracy since you caved into Bush before Gore. If you think it's a real Democracy then I'm afraid that things are even worse in Iraq than I thought.

5. Isn't 'Joe' the guy who was Pushing the Patriot Act?

If my memory is correct, Bush was against the Patriot Act, and Lieberman was pushing it, so Bush Ran with it... but I am not 100% sure.

But that's exactly what happened with the Dept. of Homeland Security. Joe backed it, Bush ran away from it at first but then eventually saw that he had to support it. The Republicans then threw in a poison pill (taking away union protection) to make the Democrats fight the bill as Bush/Repubicans were pushing it. Everyone forgot that it was a Democrat's idea first and Bush got all the credit. Thanks to Republican punditry, the Democrats ended up looking like they didn't care for the security of Americans even though they were only stalling the bill to get government workers protection for their jobs when old departments were reorganized.

I had to make the choice between fixing my teeth or school...and the pain in my mouth won out.
