2. WHAT?! No way. Are they really asking that?
60,000 non-Americans dead in a natural disaster...and next, on CNN, "What Can America Get Out Of This?"

Wow. That's pretty foul.

C ya,

3. She even took issue w/ analyst Ken Robinson, who said...
...that the US is not doing enough for victims of the disaster (but, his reasoning was that the terrorists would gain from lack of American help)...

Fucked up, isn't it?

5. I'm sorry, that's just BEYOND fucked up.
Does EVERYTHING have to be about terrorism now? Is that the only way we relate to the rest of the world now--through our fear of being blown up by them, and their corresponding fear of being 'liberated' by us?

I mean we are all human beings living on the same planet, and the planet could decide to waste us just as easily. Indeed, if the planet was sentient and had a sense of vengeance, it would come after us first. Have things really degraded to the point where all people who live somewhere else are divided into the categories of Actual Terrorist and Potential Terrorist?

What about just helping people because their world has been destroyed? Do we not do that kind of thing any more?

Oh, never mind, I know the answer...

:puke:

6. actually if the US and the West doesn't put out enough Aid the Terrorists
will have a stronger foothold in the region because people will be pissed off at the lack of sympathy and aid.

US corporations are more than happy to have those SE Asians make tennis shoes really cheap and their execs like the beaches the resorts...and even the young prostitutes...but if they get stingy on aid...the resentment will grow...

4. Here's chilling and heartbreakingly sad
apparently people who had managed to pull themselves above the water could initially hear the cries of kids for help.
After a while you couldn't hear the cries anymore.
