Is tsunami a horrific look at the near future
With global warming accelerating, and sea levels rising, and the destruction of coral reefs we have a glimpse of the future.

With the Bush Administrations reliance on pseudo-science, anti-regulation, and profits over anything mentality, the Maldives, and several other islands will be completely underwater. Storms will cause much more damage due to coral reef damage.

And these corrupt bastards couldn't care less.

1. Clean air and water are roadblocks to prosperity.

2. Well, if the side of the volcano in the Azores goes
It'll be worse by several magnitudes in New York. They'll have maybe 12 hours notice at most, more likely about ten hours, to evacuate Manhattan Island.

The wall of water that will be produced from that event will be approximately 250 feet tall and should be powerful enough to bring down every building on Manhattan Island.

The worst part of this is the fact that this is not a question of if this will happen but a matter of when it will happen. The side of that mountain is very precarious and seismic activity will cause the slide which will undoubtedly result in a super tsunami which will hit Britain within four hours and the East Coast of the U.S. within twelve hours.

As was the case with the Indian Ocean, there is no Tsunami warning system for the Atlantic.
