America is broke!!!
"The notion that the United States is not generous is simply not true, factually," USAID chief Andrew Natsios told The Associated Press in an interview. "We've had one of the largest increases of any country in the world."

But even Natsios acknowledged Tuesday that the initial $35 million aid package the administration has crafted for earthquake and tsunami victims has completely drained his agency's emergency relief fund, which already provides assistance from Darfur to Iraq.

-CNN Frontpage story 12/04

----------------------------

America has no allies(support), no money, no trust.

I sure am glad Bush is our President.

His second term hasn't even started yet and America is seeing what a big mistake they made. It's to bad they didn't see it sooner.

6. That $40 mil comes from outright donations or gifts
from his buddies. The $35 mil is at least half loans so it's not much help for those already poor countries.

F-ing greedy bastards.

5. And $14.3 million EACH for the BCS football schools!
"The big football schools should take all that ill-gotten Bowl Championship Series money, $14.3 million each, and send it to Phuket.

Come on guys, feed the world. Prove that the BCS is not the sewer of corruption it seems to be, a vote-swapping, kickbacking, cash-grabbing scheme devised by a bunch of guys in blazers standing around ice sculptures in the buffet line. Show us where your values really are, and demonstrate that the system has a single redeeming quality."

8. The Repubs response to the rest of the world hating us is...
'Who cares, we don't need the rest of the world. We kick ass!!'

Well well what happens when you're getting your ass kicked in Iraq and are running out of money for other things. We will get no support from anyone. They despise what we are doing in Iraq, and have no sympathy for any of us because Bush has been re-elected. Blair will have zero support from his country if Bush tries another Iraq.

11. You're right.
Thanks D. for saying what needs to be said. We are indeed broke. In case anyone doubts this, check out http://www.fromthewilderness.com. They tell the story of how we have become the guy down at the Greyhound race track.

We've got sweat rings under our arms. We're holding onto that lucky rabbit's foot. We're going to use the mortgage money to recoup our losses.
