Bush inauguration cost and donations to tsunami victims compared

His Chimperial Highness says he's going to send 35 million bucks to the affected areas, and all the flying monkeys are crowing about what a brave and generous leader he is.

But his coronation ceremony next month will cost about that, and will perhaps exceed it. (30 million).

Pardon me if this makes me feel nauseus. All those fucking richies and fascists partying up their ill gotten office -- while His Chimperial Highness defends his $30 million as a vast amount. (Spain is giving $65 million, monkey boy.)

Also -- all this talk about Bush not saying anything about the tragedy because he is too much of a manly man to stoop to "feeling others pain."

These fucking HYPOCRITES! Think about the spontaneous outpouring of sympathy towards America after Sept 11 -- or, have they forgotten that part? What if Chirac or Schroeder had been too "manly" to express sympathy on behalf of their nations?

Conclusion: Bush was too stupid to comprehend the enormity of the event (I mean, you have to know a little science and geography to understand it),or was incapacitated by drink or laziness to get in front of a camera, OR perhaps is sitting down with his little Vulcan friends and figuring out how they can use this tragedy to their political advantage. Given that Indonesia is involved, I believe the latter is possible. I doubt if His Chimperial Highness has any pure motivation in helping any of these people out, and, in fact, may fuck things up ever WORSE by having delayed this long, and provided so little to people in urgent need.

2. A billion is the extra cost the US bears in Iraq each week.

That's over and above the $400 or $500 billion a year for US defense.

Actually, it's probably closer to two billion a week, because they keep coming back for more appropriations.

Twelve billion was what Bush offered Turkey to be a staging area for the northern front to invade Iraq.

$275 million is what Ken Lay took home in his last three years at Enron, then sent his wife to the Today show to declare they were broke (they weren't -- they didn't spend it all, nope, not even close).

So, $30 million is small change to these pirates. But, if it's not for them, small change is all they will offer.

4. Funny how money is relative

The same "pundits" who laughed at those us us who suggested Iraq would not be the cakewalk they promised, later laughed at those of us who balked at Bush's extra extortion of 65 billion dollars for Iraq war last year. Ha ha, the "pundits" said --"that's the same amount American women spend on LIPSTICK, you stupid liberals!!"

But these same "pundits" and the government they are the flying monkeys for, suddenly hold forth that 35 million is extremely generous.

Sorry -- I have a bad feeling about this. By the time His Chimperial Highness is anointed in January, the death toll in the India Ocean will be about 250,000, conservatively speaking. Maybe 2000 dead Americans in Iraq by then too -- plus heaven only knows more dead Iraqis. Bush and his pals will be seen, once again, fiddling while the earth burns. Or worse yet, using the tragedy to effect the politics in the region into NeoCon favor....

6. yeah, well. For all we know

some cockeyed Dr. Strangelove in a submarine was at the bottom of the trough by Sumatra setting large explosives for the US military, just to see how big a blast they could do.

Maybe that quake was too big even for the rather large britches of the US military to have pulled off, but they are delusional enough to try most anything.
