Where is the 24/7, wall-to-wall coverage of that horror, a man made horror, not a random act of nature?

Where are the pictures? Why isn't Larry King sitting in his chair, shocked at the awful carnage?

1. Could someone do the math please?
I'm wondering, divided by their overall population to get a percentage, and then applying that percentage to our population, how many Americans would that make if we had been attacked in a similar way?

Maybe that could help put things into perspective...

3. If I'm not mistaken
Iraq has roughly 25 million people, and the US 250 million, so it would make roughly a million Americans.

2. Because that took over a year
this happened in a few hours.

That's why shock at this, plus you have to add in the media blackout from the white house and the whoredom of the media and all becomes clear.

6. How many American citizens have died since 9/11/01?
Over the last couple of years Iraq's death toll has risen to 100,000. America's is a constant 2,800 one day total. The 1,200 soldiers died not to defend us from the 9/11 attackers but they died for a mistake.

5. Iraqis are the bad guys. They deserve to be dead.
At least according to plenty of Americans.

Plenty don't care about the tsunami victims either. That's why there are so many tsunami and Phuket jokes floating around.

And if you watch the news coverage, it's not terribly sympathetic either. A lot of it is "dozens of nice white tourists were tragically killed" or "can it happen here?" or "the US is too given enough relief aid! We're not stingy. So stop saying that."
