Daniel Shorr tells it like it is in his tsunami-aid commentary today
Scroll down a bit on this page to listen.

NPR's Daniel Schorr says the tsunami disaster in Asia and Africa is one of those rare events that transcend ideology or politics.

He criticizes * mentioning the 7-minute delay in the schoolroom on 9/11 along with the three-day delay this time.

1. It was a good commentary.
He said that the US has an opportunity to redeem itself in the eyes of the world by really coming to the aid of the tsunami victims.

We could be heroes here.

You think B* will try?

I hope -- for everyone's sake -- he will.

2. Note that the chimps delays are growing by leaps and bounds
Next disaster can we hope that he'll hide for the next four years?

4. I would love not having to reach for the mute button on the remote
I can't stand to listen to him. I can close my eyes when he appears, but I still have to mute that antagonistic, belligerant voice.

6. That's not really fair, you know ...

He has to wait for Dick and Karl to tell him what he thinks.

5. Sorry . . . I can't get AAR. NPR is all I have, but at least Shorr
once-again reminded people of *'s 7-minute paralysis on 9/11.

And people think the shrub will protect them best . . . :silly:

8. Not with my 24K connection . . . my rural phone lines are crap
I used to connect at 28,800 which was bad, but then last spring the speed dropped.

I can't watch videos, can't listen to music, can't hardly listen to NPR segments over the Internet . . .

And now my TV antenna isn't receiving PBS very well.
