Who pays for this inauguration celebration?
Serious question- is it a line item in the budget? Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks!

But what about the amount spent by our government? Where does it come from?

5. Taxpayers will foot the bill for the massive unprecedented security
measures. Also, you're fooling yourself if you think those "private donations" do not come with strings attached. We will pay the price in the ensuing environmental destruction, corporate welfare (think Medicare drug bill pork), lower wages, deteriorating social safety net (Social Security privatization), etc.

4. Anyone know what companies?
If we knew which specific companies, we could make a concerted demand for them to donate a portion of these funds to disaster relief and (oh my god!) scale down the festivities a wee bit.
