Did CNN just manufacture a tsunami victim reunion story?

Did anyone else just watch Anderson Cooper's show where they spoke with Ed Aleo, the father of a suppoedly missing tsunami victim? They had him on by phone earlier in the show, after he had arrived in Thailand to search for his son Ed Jr. who hadn't contacted him. Well later in the show, they had the "Just In" phone call I believe from the mother or another relative named Sue, who said she had gotten a call _last night_ from Ed Jr. who said he was aware his father had flown into Thailand and would be meeting up with him along with _a CNN reporter_... So she basically let it slip that CNN was aware the son was found last night and they were setting up a reunion, even though they just played the audience with the interview with the father and the "Just In" newsflash moments later.
