I hate to post about this but I have to ask.....
A couple of days ago, a cspan caller mentioned that Phuket Island, Thailand is a place where some Americans and Europeans travel to have sex with underage kids. She said that was probably why the tsunami hit there to save the precious children. Has anyone talked about that here?

3. I've not seen it.
Only a psycho-nut with delusions would believe an earth quake that hit 8 nations and affected millions upon millions and killed thousands and thousands of kids was anything spiritual or happened to protect the kids..

What a nut case!

23. Well, in that case God is pro-choice for sure.
Edited on Fri Dec-31-04 01:31 AM by jdj
And in that case God would just shoot laser-beams into the cock-pits of all those planes carrying American and European tourists/child rapers who go to other countries for pedophilia so they crash and burn like they are going to do in hell.

She just needs to watch a little more CNN.

AND these orphaned children are extremely vulnerable to predators now, with no parents around.

Okay, I am fully convinced now that they put some mind-killing microorganism in the communion juice at baptist churches.

There is no other explanation.

4. CSPAN
Is quick to engage neocons and Fundies. I for one am glad Brian Green or whomever, the guy from booknotes, is retiring.

Booknotes will live on, thank god, just in other formats.

posting a thread about that a couple days ago; it was a thread about ignorant C-SPAN callers, and she mentioned that blithering ignoramus. I don't know what God she worships, but it sure as hell ain't the one I know!

12. One third of the 120,000 were children
They were too weak to hang on, or too confused to get out of the way.

I hope people like the caller on cspan some day reap what they sow.

14. Stupid person with phone does tricks.
I didn't see/hear it, but it doesn't surprise me. The callous behavour of stupid people knows no bounds. I would suppose the caller would be the type of person who would shriek hysterically about 9-11.

15. Fred Phelps thinks God sent the tsunami to kill gay Swedes
http://rawstory.rawprint.com/1204/westboro_tsunami_stat...
Thursday, December 30, 2004
---------------------------------------------------------------------
RAW STORY has discovered that the Westboro Baptist Church leaders known for picketing the funeral of Matthew Shepard, the young college student brutally murdered in Wyoming in 1998, have released the following statement regarding the tsunamis which hit Southeast Asia earlier in the week.

The statement, which was posted on their website Wednesday alongside dozens of other archived "press releases," thanks God for the tsunami and for the death of any gay Swedish vacationers who perished at the time.

16. Well . . .
I recall a report on this not long ago--though I forget exactly where. Some Asian countries do have a thriving prostitution industry, of which a certain percentage is definitely aimed at pedophiles.

But to actually think this would protect the children? She must be insane!

18. Ignorant, ignorant woman. Most of the vacationers who survived
looked like families or couples. In fact, one family was there for a reunion. I think 17 of the 20 people in that family died, including one man's four grandchildren.

That story was on CBS News tonight (I think).

25. What did the C-spanzoid say??
Unit # Three of Six, "simulated white male moderate", really pissed me off today by saying to a caller complaining of the lag before W's response that well "Kofi Annan was on vacation til yesterday too, how do you feel about that?" The caller handled it really well, said that wasn't good either, but that Bush had "given America another black eye" by being so slow to respond.
