8. I disagree.
A douchebag performs a useful function. Smirky McDogshit does not. Besides, he's just wondering why the hose is disconnected.

13. Well, they're in CIC on the USS Abraham Lincoln and it looks like
... they're reviewing flight deck operations. It looks to me like the model under his index finger represents a helicopter, possibly Marine One.

21. Good point. That's what an old semi-Coastie like me calls it.

On a carrier, it's Primary Flight Control:
Also known as “Pri-Fly”, Primary Flight Control is the center from which all flight deck operations are directed. It is home to the “air boss”, who controls takeoffs, landings and the movement of planes on the flight deck and in the air around the ship.

It's located in the Island. IIRC, CIC is below on a carrier.

My only experience on military ships is Coast Guard ... and the CIC was really the only command center they had as I recall.

7. right-click on the broken pic and "view image"
he's wearing another spiffy commander-in-chief military jacket, Navy this time, and playing air traffic controller or something on an aircraft carrier.

Can you imagine how the freepers would howl if a Democratic president wore all those military "commander in chief" windbreakers???

I'm surprised the men aren't a little more upbeat. It's not that often the Pres shows up (dropped in while cruising the waterfront).
