Florida still hasn't recovered from the 4 hurricanes, you really need to protest this, he has no business leaving his state in a time like this.

It's definitely for photo-ops to get that stateman like crap going.

If Jeb starts talking with a drawl, we'll know they are grooming him.

I really don't think he'll fly with Bush's redneck base...

Thai prostitutes.

We have Neil Bush admitting to whoring around the world and dead silence from his bible thumping, brethren of the Christian Right who were salivating in their hypocritical fury over Clinton and Monicagate.

http://edition.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/11/25/bush.brot...

The Bush divorce, completed in April after 23 years of marriage, was prompted in part by Bush's relationship with another woman. He admitted in the deposition that he previously had sex with several other women while on trips to Thailand and Hong Kong at least five years ago.

The women, he said, simply knocked on the door of his hotel room, entered and had sex with him. He said he did not know if they were prostitutes because they never asked for money and he did not pay them.

"Mr. Bush, you have to admit it's a pretty remarkable thing for a man just to go to a hotel room door and open it and have a woman standing there and have sex with her," Brown said.

"It was very unusual," Bush said.

At the bottom of my quote from an article above:

The women, he said, simply knocked on the door of his hotel room, entered and had sex with him. He said he did not know if they were prostitutes because they never asked for money and he did not pay them.

"Mr. Bush, you have to admit it's a pretty remarkable thing for a man just to go to a hotel room door and open it and have a woman standing there and have sex with her," Brown said.

"It was very unusual," Bush said.

Unusual compared to what?

Brown should have asked: "Unusual compared to other jaunts you've been on in Thailand Mr. Bush"?

These sick bastards knew about this tsunami and did nothing to warn the people of Thailand, Africa, and India. They warned the US Navy at Diego Garcia Naval Base which is a couple hours away. Now they're sending all the military down there instead of humanitarians. Battleships, subs, aircraft carriers, jets, helicopters, I don't trust them at all. Neither does India. India turned away Israel because Israel tried to do the same thing that the US is doing with their military. Google it and you'll see what I mean.. Here's the link with in depth research.

http://globalresearch.ca/articles/CHO412C.html

The Tsunami Timeline

Sunday 26 December 2004 (GMT)

00.57 GMT: Between 00.57 GMT and 00.59 GMT, an 8.9 magnitude earthquake occurs on the seafloor near Aceh in northern Indonesia. (See http://ioc.unesco.org/itsu/ and other reports)

00.58 GMT: Saturday 25 December, 2.58 pm Hawaii Time (GMT-10) 26 Dec 00.58 GMT. US government's Pacific Tsunami Warning Center registers the earthquake on its seismic instruments. In other words at the time of its occurrence at 00.58 GMT.

shortly after 01.00 GMT: Earthquake hits several cities in Indonesia, creates panic in urban areas in peninsular Malaysia. The news of the earthquakes is reported immediately.

01.3O GMT: Phuket and Coast of Thailand: The tidal wave hits to coastline shortly after 8.30 am, 01.30 GMT

02.30 GMT: Colombo Sri Lanka and Eastern Coast of Sri Lanka, the tidal wave hits the coastal regions close to the capital Colombo, according to report at 8.30 am local time, 02.30 GMT (an hour and a half after the earthqake)

02.45 GMT: India's Eastern Coastline. The tsunami hits India's eastern coast from 6:15 a.m.(2:45 GMT)

04.00 GMT: Male, Maldives: From about 9:00 am (0400 GMT), three hours after the earthquake, the capital, Male, and other parts of the country were flooded by the tsunami. (more than three hours after the earthquake)

And I'm sorry, but it makes perfect sense to send Jeb because of his experience in coordinating relief in a disaster - he did a commendable job in Florida this year with the record hurricanes. If he, or anybody for that matter, can help these poor people why do you care who it is???

Edited on Sat Jan-01-05 11:46 PM by CBHagman
They haven't even found all the bodies yet, there's no guarantee of clean drinking water, people don't have adequate food, clothing and shelter, and we're sending two people who have no medical training and aren't emergency relief personnel. We should be spending our money on the basic needs of the people, not a photo opportunity.

Kofi Annan explained in a very straightforward manner why trips like this are not a good idea in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. There are all kinds of preparations that need to be made to receive visitors, and at a time when workers are struggling just to accomplish their mission.

Yes, I think it's a politically motivated trip, and yes, I think it's vanity, and yes, I think it's done for show, not for real relief. The Bush administration also sent people to Iraq who weren't trained in Arabic language or anything related to their actual job descriptions, and look how that turned out.

60. It's his very first campaign trip for
2008. There will be plenty of cameras so that they have footage and still shots. They'll set him up with some family who has lost everything and have him put his arm around them or something and he'll try to look all serious and they'll take some snaps.

He'll be "shown around" by some local authority and he'll tsk tsk at all the damage and then he'll jet away!
