Question About Smirk's 'Time Man Of The Year" Picture
My wife and I saw the picture of McCokespoon while we were at the supermarket today and she pointed out that the painting really looked like they were trying to make the sumbitch look like George Washington! I looked at it a bit closer myself and I'll be damned if they weren't trying it...at least to the both of us. Anyone else notice that or think the same thing?

2. No matter how hard they try, they will never get him to
resemble a human being, however.

6. It's not so much
that it looks like George Washington but that it was painted in a style similar to paintings from his time.

I don't think it is a flattering portrait at all.

(I work at a news stand and am forced to look at it pretty much all day)

What really set me off was the caption. "American Revolutionary".

Well, he's never been properly elected so I suppose the term applies.

12. No, I did not get that impression.
I dont think that was the intent. I think they went with something they figured would be pretty neutral.
