three things we MUST demand of the Democratic Party . . .
Democrats need to reclaim their heritage as the "Party of the People" . . . to do so, we must support populist, non-corporate positions on all of the imporatant issue -- Social Security, taxation, environmental protection, education, etc. . .

for the party to reclaim its credibility, however, will require more . . . at minimum, the Democratic Party MUST support the following three "macro-issues" -- issues that supersede and/or encompass all others . . .

1) the repeal of "corporate personhood," and the removal of corporate money and influence from elections campaigns;

2) a truly independent and thorough investigation of what really happened on 09/11/01, and a full report of the findings to the American people -- no matter who they implicate; and

3) an fully auditable and transparent voting system run by government entities, not private corporations.

4. These three sound great --
-- but I'd have to have a 4th -- that the foreign policy of the United States be examined and then overhauled to accommodate the idea that we are merely one nation on the planet among many.

The damage Bush has done to our allies and to others has been dramatic and unforgivable.
