The greatest and most influential boycott of all time... |
|
Perhaps the greatest and most influential boycott in the history of this country would be for ALL liberals/progressives to unaffiliate/unregister themselves from the Democratic Party. Nothing would send a clearer message to ALL our constituents than that!
If Gonzalez gets approved as AG, this is exactly what I will do. I will not be a member of a political party that allows the approval of a candidate for AG who condoned torture and disregarded human rights and international law as in the Geneva Conventions.
Are you with me?

1. There's no way he won't get approved as AG... |
|
Republicans have a solid majority in the Senate.
However, what I want to see is a blistering questioning from Democrats (which some are doing), along with a NO vote on his confirmation.
They could also hold a press conference detailing how they don't believe that someone who refers to treaties that the US is a signatory to as "quaint" and "outdated" while endorsing torture is fit to be the top law enforcement official in the land.

2. All laws and ethics are "quaint" when applied to or used by Repugs, |
|
it's only non-Repugs that Jesus was concerned about.
