Will O'Reilly Keep his word now about Not Trusting the Bush Administration |
|
Lest anyone forget, back when Operation Oil Junta started, Bill the Shill O'Reilly said:
"if the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it's clean, he has nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush administration again."
Well, it's official. Saddam was clean. No WMD. Search officially abandoned.
That being the case, will Bill keep his word about not trusting the Bush Adminstration again?
I'm guessing it was just hot air and he'll keep spinning like top for his boy.

3. He already said he retracted that. |
|
Many months ago, after we'd been in Iraq for a while and still hadn't fuond anything. He said he spoke rashly, and that there's nothing that could make him doubt the Commander in Chief when our troops are in cmobat
Well, unless that Commander in Chief is Clinton, apparently. ;)

16. O'Reilly is a conservative wonk |

He will attack the Bush administration (to keep his "credibility" and "non-partisin" spin) but only on small issues.

19. I wouldn't exactly call O'Reilly a "wonk" |
|
Edited on Thu Jan-13-05 05:17 PM by underpants
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=wonkSee the definition. Not that he is stupid but he doesn't study incessantly, he doesn't have to. With rare exception I know what his "position" on an issue is going to be before he says it-not very hard to figure it out. I will say that he is not really in the Rush/Hannity level of blind obedience to Bush. Welcome to DU :hi:

28. He Gave a Non-Apology Apology ! |
|
O'Reilly sort of almost gave an apology, he said he was sorry for being wrong about WMD's. Then he blamed the bad intelligence on the FBI and the CIA, and said Bush was not to blame at all. I guess he forgot the buck stops here line, and not only does he still trust the Bush administration he says unless you can prove they lied or did something wrong you have to give them the benefit of the doubt.
If that is an apology I don't see it.
Since the so-called almost apology O'Reilly has defended everything Bush does and supports him 100 percent. And not only does O'Reilly still support the war he thinks we should get tough with the insurgents and bomb the hell out of the entire country. That includes the roads, the water supply, the power plants, etc. all of which is a violation of the Geneva Conventions, a war crime, and a crime against humanity.
So basically all he did was give an apology for being wrong about Iraq having WMD's.
