Few items from my week on here: Top item...giving Graham a second look |
|
First, I don't think Bob Graham is a horrible choice for the nomination. He is all over the south especially Florida. He has intelligence committe experience, executive branch experience as governor of Florida...we'll have to see. But anyway, the only ones ahead of him for me right now are: Kerry and Dean and Wesley Clark if he runs. He's even way ahead of Edwards in my book on many counts. I'll study him more closely and I hope others will too.
Democrats and media and WE THE PEOPLE need to keep the subject of LYING about WMD threat to the fore, but it will take a lot of work to ALSO keep the issue of unemployment (Oregon at 30 year high), environmental slaughter, attack on the poor, horrendous budget deficits, voracious defense budget, ongoing CEO corruption (MCI and Enron may be around to fight another day). We can't allow Rove and his idiot Mayberry Machiavelli's to frame the debates. Keep them spinning with all the shots we can lob at them.
Democrat presidential candidates need to get Gore, Clinton, Clinton, and all other superstar democrats to be more in the public arena of building support for a cogent, easy to grasp set of policies they have as their TOP 5 priorities for a new Democratic administration. Knock props out from under Bush...but fill vacuum for people with good ideas people will gravitate toward.
GREAT WORK on voting machine reporting. If people continue...could actually get some mainstream print and broadcast coverage that catches joe blow's attention.
DON'T GIVE UP

1. A Graham/Edwards ticket is Rove's worst nightmare |
|
That ticket would gut the south for the Democrats and it would have some very long coattails that would give us a great chance to get back Congress. Even a Graham/Kerry ticket would do almost as well.
A Graham/Dean ticket would have absolutely no coattails.

2. Graham would have to answer this to my satisfaction |
|
Why was he meeting with Pakistan's ISI chief Mahmoud, the man who wired Mohammed Atta $100K, on the morning of Sept 11, 2001.
