Here is the post where we dissect spin and/or lies in the 9/7/2003 speech. |
|
I came up with this idea where we could maybe grab a transcript of the speech, then we could each claim little bits of it to fact-check and come back with links to articles and what-not rebutting things in the speech. We could compile it into a little article of quotes from the speech and links to the real stories, and then we'd have something to pass around to people we know in email by say...Saturday. Sound like an idea?
First thing we need is a transcript. Where to get that?

...but with citations, it'd be more impressive to the general public (like the 69% of people who think there's a link between Iraq and 9/11).

3. Interesting enough, 69% say the speech made them more anxious. |

If nothing else, every day this war drags on, more people are learning the truth about who the real terrorists are and maybe they will start to wonder why we haven't had a public investigation of 9/11.

...and desire to record any gaffes. Maybe we could find another "16 words" mistake, eh?
