listening to biden this morning, senate hearing with condi
Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 09:37 AM by seabeyond
i turned on the news. i havent had the news for months, literally. today i turned it on. there biden talks. these politicians are listening. i am hearing him say the things we are angry about. he is on top of it.

there is a lot happening here. our WOMEN and now i am seeing men, they are in battle. and bush so fucks up, they have it everywhere.

he challenged bush bullshit saying they no longer have to be accountable. he is pissed about the " we have bush next four years, get over it, get over it." he looked condi in the eyes when he said

and why is fiengold with condi. i have been feeling battle between boxer and feingold, which type of female we want.

we want a boxer

way back in 1979 when he ran against her for Mayor of San Francisco.

11. Biden speaks for the cameras, then rubber stamps BushCo appointees
It is great to hear him blast BushCo. But why the fuck doesn't he actually DO SOMETHING instead of just giving speeches?

23. It's all about television 'face-time'. So constituents can see how...
concerned their senator is for their welfare. It's not-so-reality television.

13. My point was that Biden essentially started off the same way,-as he said
to Conzalas that he will ask tough questions but he would easily be confirmed. Looks like a rerun with a different person in the hotseat. We will see.

19. Biden DID say it
One of the first things Biden said was "You'll be a fine SOS and I'm voting for you!" I'm watching this at work and there was a collective sigh fom 30 people when he said it.

her.

what about anything else he said. tell me,........i mean. what are you wanting

we have gone so superficial, talking what condi looks like, one 10 sec flash of biden. and the show hasnt even started yet. can we be more pathetic. where is the intellectual and reasoned discussion on what is being said, what is happening. why go to trash immediately

14. Reply
Its simple to me:
1- She was in Genoa Italy in June 2001.
2- The major described threat whether real or not but continually babbled at the time on all news shows was the threat of terrorists hijacking jet planes from Rome and crashing them into all those fine international reps. at their conference, Condi included.
3-A fews months later after 9/11 she informs our country that "We" later changed in history to "I", could not possibly imagine anyone crashing jets into buildings.
4- Based on above she is either real dumb or as I suspect a good lier.
5-Based on that she is clearly not qualified to be SOS.....

16. Buh-bye Biden
I, too, used to get excited when Biden would speak.....he had it all;facts, presentation, passion, righteous anger..........I'd expect something to come of it........then, time after time after time after time......NOTHING!

31. you expected something to happen
when biden spoke out, with a media that creates bush story and we hear only republicans. you expected biden to accomplish something with a house and senate repug, and a white house repug

ok, tell me what you expected. for him to take down the senate and white house. what were you expectations

22. Biden did a great job
Just as you can't stand for everything without being a wimp, you can't protest everything and productively protest anything.

Condi will get confirmed. Nothing will stop that. Presidents are generally given the latitude to appoint their own cabinet. Biden strongly made the points Americans need to listen to. I want a smart senator and not just a loud one who dilutes the important battles by constant rhetoric.
