The question is how long it will take and how many of us will be hurt beyond repair in the process.

The Germans had already hit rock bottom when Hitler came along. He represented an improvement. Bush, on the other hand, came into a strong economy in a strong country and is actively dragging us down. That's a pretty significant difference, and may mean he'll be brought down a lot quicker than Hitler was.
