Scary report from Will Pitt
The push

Thursday 20 January 2005 @ 02:19
I got an unconfirmed report that protesters are going to try and rush the inauguration down at 14th and D. I am too far away to get there, but when I hear something, I will let you know.

Given all the heavily armed cops here, rushing the inauguration sounds like a good way to get your ass shot off. We'll see.

I'm sure Will is being closely monitored and that particular location is now heavily fortified with riot police.

11. Sure sounds like it. Many of them are employed as agent provocateurs
hopefully the real protesters there have been educated about their tactics.

12. shades of protesting Nixon
and yes all or nearly all protest groups were infiltrated with spies and trouble makers. The idea was probably to provoke the protester to get violent so that they could be locked up.

Remember that the GOPigs are NOT creative -- they will keep on doing the same thing.

When the GOPigs are in control -- PEACE is a dirty word.

I wish this wasn't such a dangerous thing to do. They're going to do what they're going to do, but I hope they don't get hurt. :( wishful thinking.

15. Yep
The odd thing I always find about protests in DC is how it is a largely, possibly majority black police force facing off with majority white protestors. It's a pretty amazing image.

17. Indymedia DC:
"2:33PM: Flags being burned at 14th and Penn. Some callers report there has been a fight of some sort between anarchists burning a flag and a Bush-supporter trying to take the flag from them."
